Производителям пришлось изменить его название для этих стран на Mitsubishu Montero, что в переводе означает воин-горец. В Великобритании он называется Shogun (сёгун).

Mitsubishi Pajero постепенно уходит с мировых рынков
Немецкое представительство Mitsubishi объявило о прекращении продаж модели Pajero: в продажу поступила прощальная партия из 1000 машин под названием Final Edition. На выбор предложены машины с трехдверным и пятидверным кузовом.
Короткая «прощальная» версия (на заглавном фото) базируется на самой простой комплектации Base, к которой добавлены 18-дюймовые колеса, обогрев передних сидений, система автоматического торможения, круиз-контроль, четырехмиллиметровая алюминиевая защита днища и еще ряд опций. Цена — 37 тысяч евро, на пять тысяч дороже базовой комплектации.
Пятидверный Pajero Final Edition, напротив, самый дорогой в гамме: 49 тысяч евро против 47 тысяч за рядовое исполнение Top. А отличия — 20-дюймовые колеса оригинального дизайна, защита снизу, зачерненная оптика и отделка салона алюминием. Все машины оснащены дизелем 3.2 (190 л.с.), «автоматом» и, само собой, полным приводом.
Еще раньше, 22 февраля, на заводе Pajero Manufacturing в Японии, входящем в структуру Mitsubishi Motors, был выпущен последний трехдверный Pajero. Всего выпущено 252305 таких машин, а последний экземпляр был передан отнюдь не в музей, а на службу в японский патруль. Машины для немецкого рынка, судя по всему, были заказаны заранее.
А еще одна грустная новость уже из России. По данным Авторевю, российский филиал Mitsubishi прекратил закупки внедорожников Pajero из-за низкого спроса: вместо пожилого ветерана (модель четвертого поколения дебютировала в 2006 году) покупатели предпочитают более современный и доступный Pajero Sport. Впрочем, «большие» Pajero пока еще есть в наличии у дилеров.
Mitsubishi Pajero для китайского рынка — с девятидюймовым экраном медиасистемы
Производство пятидверных внедорожников Mitsubishi Pajero пока продолжается, причем несколько месяцев назад специально для китайского рынка была проведена очередная микро-модернизация: на машины начали устанавливать современную медиасистему с крупным сенсорным дисплеем. Однако отставка уже не за горами.
ДОПОЛНЕНО: Поставки Mitsubishi Pajero в Россию продолжаются, но ежемесячно покупателей находят лишь по 30—40 машин, поэтому не у всех дилеров машины есть в наличии.
